It's been a long time since my last post, but I'm halfway through my 24th week and so far things are going really well.
My lung function is at 79% which is much better than it was at my previous clinic appointment. I feel like this is a perfectly acceptable number since baby is really starting to crowd my lungs a bit more now.
My latest A1c is a 5.4% which I'm very proud of, although my sugars have started rising a bit more recently. I've been hitting higher numbers than I'd like after dinner, but I do try to get them down as fast as I can.
My weight is currently at 138 which means I have put on 21 pounds since the pregnancy began!!
Overall, I feel really good! I certainly can't complain. I've really enjoyed being pregnant, and even when I wake up every hour to flip over or go the bathroom it's still amazing to me.
We are starting birthing classes tomorrow (Bradley method), and I'm pretty excited about them. I think it will be a great help to both myself and my husband as we prepare for our baby girl's arrival.
My biggest complaint so far this pregnancy (though I'm really trying not to complain) is upper back pain, and my biggest craving has been cold cereal (Cheerios, oatmeal squares, golden grahams).
I can't believe that I only have about 14 weeks left until I meet my little girl. Time sure is flying by!
